One, they understand they’re in a tough space and they’re actively working on authority, which is good. Two, they’re probably not yet at the point where their own site is a standout authority you look at and think “these are the people dominating search in their niche.” Would I hire them? If you’re a smaller business also trying to grow from modest visibility in a competitive space, they might be a fit because they’re clearly in that grind themselves and know what it takes to start building authority. If you want an agency that’s already proven they can own their niche and rank like crazy, their current positioning would make me want to see more hard case studies before I sign a contract.
